Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 2012 I made a promise that each year I would raise money for a different charity associated with my parents' histories of illness - sure my mum would agree there's enough there to keep me going for the next decade!
Last year (and this year) I raised a combined sum of £1500 for Cancer Research. This year I will be doing the cardiff half for two worthy causes - NHS Blood and Transplant (who can't register on the site, so anything given outside of the site will be for them) and Serv who are part of the National Association of Blood Bikes. They are a voluntary service of motorcyclists who take blood and transplant organs to hospitals in emergencies at any time of the day or night.
Both mum and dad (on separate occasions I hasten to add!) have managed to empty the blood banks in Hereford and Birmingham. As many of you know, we lost dad 13 years ago and mum is now terminally ill with kidney failure (not helped by a 4 month bout of internal bleeding which we never found the cause of!)
So you can see why these causes are very close to my heart. It really is the case that every little helps so please help me to give back to the wonderful people who gave us a bit more time with dad and are now doing the same with mum.
Thank you x
