Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those of you that know me well you will be aware that sport and exercise have never really come very high on my list of priorities! But with the big 3-0 approaching next year I thought it was about time I did something worthwhile. So taking inspiration from Miss Beth Raby (marathon runner extraordinaire!) I decided that it would be a good idea to take up running. After completing a 5km and proving to my doubting family that I could put down that glass of wine and get off the couch, I decided a bigger challenge was needed. So on 18th September I will be taking part in the world’s biggest half marathon- The Great North Run!
I couldn’t complete such a big event without raising some money for a very worthwhile cause so my chosen charity is Help the Hospices in memory of my Nan, Maggie who was cared for at The Heart of Kent Hospice in 2004. If you are not familiar with their very worthwhile work then please take a look below.
So if you could spare a few quid I would be eternally grateful and it would give me more of a push as I stagger around the course to know that I can’t possibly let down all my lovely sponsors! So please donate as much as you can spare and I will promise to try not to collapse before the finish line!
