Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Please help me to provide funding for this wonderful hospice so that they may continue to support local families through their hardest times.
As you probably know I'm not in the best shape of my life after having my three boys! I began running again at the end of last year with a view to finally conquering the gruelling 13.1 miles of a half marathon. I began to look for a charity to support and eventually decided on Children's Hospice South West-there are so many worthy causes.
As a mother I confess I've always found it such a difficult subject as I'm sure many do. I never wanted to look at the CHSW website or go into too much depth. It's because of this cowardice I've always taken the 'donate to charity shop in Helston or through the Pirate FM appeal and then hide under the duvet' kind of approach to supporting them. However, I know realise that the spirit of Little Harbour is to shine a light in the dark and provide a 'holiday home' feel in a 'relaxed seaside setting' for the families. They provide positivity and normality-but anyway enough of my waffling.....
Here's what they say-
"Help us to build precious memories for families whose children are living with life-limiting or life threatening conditions. We rely on the generosity and efforts of people like you to help us to deliver our promise to ‘make the most of short and precious lives across the South West’. Anything and everything you can do will make a difference.
We are funded almost entirely by voluntary donations from people who want to make a real difference to life limited children in the South West. To continue to provide care we need your help. Every penny you give directly helps our children and their families."
