As a family, we have been thinking about the conflict in Ukraine and how it is affecting families and people of all ages. We have heard about how others are going out to help, delivering supplies and many people across Europe are opening up their homes to refugees. It's hard to imagine how difficult it must be for those who have lost so much and it's difficult to know what we can do to help. 

We have agreed that, starting from March 1st,  between the six of us we will travel the distance from Southampton to Kyiv (1567 miles) either by walking, running or cycling as a combined total. We don't know how long it will take us, but we will update our running total each week. 

If you would like to support us in this we are raising money for the people affected by the conflict in Ukraine. We are doing this through Tearfund's Ukraine appeal which is part of the Disasters Emergency Committee group.
