Story
The Hastings & friends are back for their 4th annual 100 Streets Challenge. Well Jenny is, but Scott is nearly 6,000 miles away, manfully working at the Rugby World Cup in Japan! Hey, it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it! :)
Scott will very much be with us in spirit and Jenny will be there in person to fly the Hastings flag. We plan to start and finish at Support in Mind Scotland's Edinburgh service - the Stafford Centre at 103 Broughton Street - at 10.30am on Sunday, October 6.
Last year we had runners, walkers, cyclists, dogs, and a couple of scooters. Come along and go at your own pace and choose your own way of getting from A to B via a pre-arranged route consisting of 100 of Edinburgh's streets!
Support in Mind Scotland would hugely appreciate any donations you can make to help support our mental health services, including the Stafford Centre.
Mental health is important to us all. Each year, 1 in 4 of us will experience a mental health issue and 1 in 100 will suffer from a serious mental illness. Keeping physically active can play a key role in improving mental well-being and some of the great ways to do so include walking, running, cycling or jogging. There is plenty to discover beyond your doorstep. Support in Mind Scotland's 100 Streets Challenge is FREE and every person who completes the challenge will receive a certificate. Any participant who completes the challenge and raises or donates a minimum of £10 will also receive a medal and a T-shirt. We are hoping to raise at least £10,000 from the 100 Streets Challenge campaign this year to help Support in Mind Scotland to continue delivering crucial mental health services across Scotland. For more information and to register for free, please visit:www.100streetschallenge.com or www.supportinmindscotland.org.uk
