More than two million school-aged children in Syria are unable to go to school. Help us rehabilitate 28 schools to support a generation back into education and to change young lives for the better.

Story

Hello everyone,

A few months ago- I saw the harrowing documentary 'For Sama'. Waad al-Kateab conveyed the horrors of the Syrian conflict and made you feel as if you were there yourself. After witnessing this film, I knew I had to try and do something to help.

The crisis in Syria has resulted in catastrophic damage to schools and educational facilities. Many school buildings have been destroyed, and others have become make-shift shelters for families on the move. More than two million school-aged children in Syria are unable to go to school.

For those born during the war; it is likely that they have never attended a day of school in their entire lives. We strongly believe in the importance of providing educational opportunities no matter how difficult the environment. Children need to learn and have a safe space even during the traumas of war. We want the children born into war in Syria today to grow into the adults who will rebuild their country in peace.
