Story

The Channel to the Med 'challenge' is a Peak Tours Gallic “adventure extraordinaire”.

My challenge this year will be in memory of my good friend, 'Irrepressible' Sue Butterworth, who sadly passed away on 4th July 2019. Over the past few years I have undertaken a range of cycle challenges with Sue's drive always encouraging me to succeed. These were:

2015 - Land's End to John O'Groats, (1064 miles)

2016 - 'Triple Eco Challenge' - 100 miles cycle, Kayak Marathon & Shuttlingsloe Peak Marathon Hike

2017 - Mizen Head to Malin Head, Ireland (650 miles)

2018 - The Italian Job (850 miles)

2019 - Well, why not Channel to Med (877+ miles)????? A 14 day challenge over the first two weeks of October. This will include cycling up Mont. Ventoux and the Gorges du Verdon, both known for their substantial challenges.

Why St. Ann's Hospice?

Sue needed the support and care that St. Ann's Hospice offered her in the past few months. They also supported her husband Cassian and her mother Lynn through this very emotionally challenged period and I would like to enable them to continue with their wonderful work for others in need and in Sue's memory.

Thank you for your support in enabling this.
