A Shakespeare Play!, 17 March 2013
We send life-saving medical & general aid to the most vulnerable people inside Syria

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page (UPDATED ON 23/04/2013).

I will be playing Cassius in Shakespeare's 'Julius Caesar' at the beginning of May 2013 (details below). The performances will be played at my current place of work: Prince Sultan University in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia!

I have never done any acting before, let alone been in a Shakespeare play, but always wanted to - just had no confidence at school.  Now it is my time to shine, despite it being a personal challenge to learn all my lines.

I chose 'Hand in Hand for Syria'' (and 'Human Concern' in my other website - Virgin Money Giving) because of their humanitarian and medical aid for the refugees in Syria.  I personally was working/ teaching in Libya until February 2011 when the Arab revolt occured, so can sympathise with the Syrians' flight.  Unfortunately, it has been now 3 years this conflict has continued, and threatens to destabilize neighbouring countries with the ongoing refugee problem.

I challenge all my future donors to learn just ONE line by Cassius from the play!

Many thanks for your time/ donations.

All the best,

Hasan Ahmet (AKA Cassius!)
