Story
On Sunday 26th April, I’ll be running the roads around London to raise money for Sarcoma UK in memory of my best friend's mum, Tess.
I asked her family to write about her fight:
Tess was diagnosed with Metastatic (lung and liver) retroperitoneal leiomyosarcoma in April 2016. For nearly two years she underwent various treatments of chemotherapy at Weston Park Hospital in Sheffield. The care she received there was fantastic. After an incredibly brave fight, during which she remained positive and upbeat at all times, she died peacefully at home on 19th October 2018 with her family at her bedside.
Sarcoma UK is the only cancer charity in the UK focused on all types of sarcoma. Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It is one of the hardest to diagnose and treat. Any donation, no matter the size, can help change this.
Thank you for your support.
