Event: Great North Run 2022, on 11 September 2022
#TeamSCT are taking on the world's largest half marathon to support families with critically ill children in hospital and give them a warm comfortable place to stay free of charge minutes from their child's bedside.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have decided to run the great north run 2022. To raise funds for the sick children's trust.

We were recently supported by this charity, when our baby Kit was transferred to the Freeman Hospital for life saving emergency surgery, thinking about travelling from Sunderland to the freeman and back, along with accommodation was something that did not cross our mind . On arriving we were immediately given a place to stay at Scott house, this was a huge life line for us as we were minutes away from Kit while he was in surgery and PICU , this gave myself and Helen a place to stay, shower and eat. So we were at our best for being there to support Kit .

We want to give back to this incredible charity and what better way than to run the great north run and raise vital funds .

Thanks for reading🤍
