Story

Thankyou so much for visiting my fundraising page.

As you may know I am competing in a charity boxing match on 20th December in aid of the James Wentworth-Stanley Memorial Fund. I am fighting Tom Bell, a friend from school. James was a good friend of ours who tragically took his own life at the age of 21 in 2006. The charity helps to combat the shocking statistic that suicide through depression and anxiety is the largest cause of death in young men today. http://www.jwsmf.org/.

The website for the actual fight night is www.fistycuffs2008.com. Have a look; if you want to see me get knocked around a ring / hit in the face, and have a great night then please come along and/or sponsor me via this web page. Any donations will be hugely appreciated.

Just click on 'sponsor us now' at the top or bottom of this page.

The 12 of us that are competing have been training since the beginnning of October, and it is without question the most physically exhausting thing I have ever done, so please make our efforts worth while! The event itself is going to be in the Shepherd's Bush Pavilion on 20th December.

It is very quick and easy to make a donation, please just follow the instructions on this page. If you do pay tax in the UK, please remember to tick the relevant box as Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks to those who donate....

Harry

Our mission is to stop men dying by suicide and we believe death by suicide is preventable. Yet, in the UK suicide is still the single leading cause of death of men under 50. At James’ Place, we provide proven, professional therapy for men in suicidal crisis to help them find hope for the future.
