Story
I am doing my first ever skydive from 7000ft for the charity Shine and my aim is to raise as much possible for this wonderful charity.
My nephew Tyler was born with Hydrocephalus. This condition occurs when fluid is trapped inside the head, causing damaging pressure on the brain. He, like many others, has had a shunt implemented in his head to reduce the pressure. As well as getting 4 shunt renewals, he has had 2 pressure monitors put in and other countless journeys to the hospital with headaches. The side effects of the condition has left him with learning difficulties and also having to be extremely careful with his shunt and not to damage it, making contact sports limited. The charity Shine provides specialist support from before birth and throughout the life of anyone living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, as well as to parents, families, carers and professional care staff. They help on average 3,000 individuals and families, responding to about 7,000 enquiries a year.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support this charity my sister speaks so highly of. I thoroughly appreciate all your support.
