Story
After the huge success over the last two years completing challenges to support the incredible work of EveryYouth we at Hays have chosen to take on another challenge and maybe a tiny bit harder this time around!
On Saturday 22nd June 2024 - during the peak of the Summer Solstice, we will travel from the picturesque coastal town of Caenarfon to the foot of the summit of Wales' highest mountain 'Yr Wydffa' (Snowdon). From there, we will scale this iconic mountain before returning by bike to the start. We will be cycling and hiking a total of just over 47km to complete the challenge in record-breaking time.
EveryYouth exists to help the most disadvantaged young people succeed in life. They help them enter meaningful employment, access mental health support and secure a home of their own. Homelessness is perhaps the most striking indicator of disadvantage and a symptom of complex issues (often experienced in childhood) that can only be addressed through holistic and patient support. EveryYouth believe that with the correct support, young people can overcome trauma and succeed on their terms.
These individuals do not have the opportunities and/or people around them like the ones I've been ever so blessed with. For this reason I have jumped on board the challenge, of course!! 💪
