Story
On Friday 10th April 2020, We unfortunately lost a true gentleman, My dad.
He lost his life trying to fight off the Corona virus.
He was admitted at King George Hospital where he also worked in the MRI department as a support worker. Having worked previously as a porter for many years he has been recognised for all his hard work for the NHS and The trust.
Everybody has been asking me where they can pay tribute for him. We have decided it was only right to support the hospital charity where he worked so in his ways "GIVE BACK" to where he used to work.
In advance I thank you all for your well wishes and kind donations.
MESSAGE FROM THE CHARITY
Every day we hear about our front-line staff at King George & Queen's Hospitals that, because of the long and unsociable hours they are putting in to care for our patients, cannot get to the supermarkets to buy basic essentials. In response to this, our small NHS Charity has been working hard to distribute supplies donated by local businesses - bread, hot meals, snacks, fruit and drinks - but we need your help to buy more. Your NHS Trust has over 6,000 members of staff and they need us to pull together and show how much we appreciate their dedication.Of the £70,000 target we have set to help our staff, £20,000 of this is for our emergency appeal and £50,000 for the linked scrubs appeal.Your support at this critical time is more valuable than ever and greatly appreciated. Every penny donated will enable us to supply more to our unsung heroes. Thank you.
