Story
After the original runner had to drop out, I have taken up their place at late notice to run the London Marathon 2023 for Oxford Hospitals Charity to raise money for IMPS.
Oxfordshire’s Injury Minimisation Programme for Schools (IMPS) aims to reduce death and disability as a result of accidents by providing children with basic first aid skills. Accidents are the most common cause of death in young people, and these skills can save lives. The programme targets children aged 10/11, who are statistically at greatest risk. Year 6 children in Oxfordshire are taught both in school and in a hospital environment what to do if someone is choking or unconscious, how and when to perform CPR, and how to help prevent accidents from happening in the first place.
Thank you very much for reading and please help me to smash my fundraising target so that IMPS can continue their truly vital work.
