Our dear friends daughter was diagnosed with childhood leukemia at the age of one and a half. She went through chemotherapy and completed her treatment two and a half years later. Recently Rays of Sunshine took her and her parents to Disneyland Europe to fulfil her dream of flying with Peter Pan. She has had such a tough time over the past three years with repeated courses of chemotherapy and the illness really taking their toll and it is wonderful that she can finally have some fun and really enjoy herself.

In 2019, I'll be completing 3 marathons in the space of just two months- the Manchester Marathon on April 7, the iconic London Marathon on April 28, and the Stockholm Marathon on June 1. Along the way, I'll be raising money for one of Deutsche Bank's Charities of the Year, Rays of Sunshine Children's Charity.

Rays of Sunshine exists to brighten up the lives of seriously ill children, giving them a chance to put their illnesses on hold by fulfilling their greatest wishes. Their work provides a distraction, reduces feelings of isolation and lets children be children again.
