EDF Energy Birmingham Half Marathon 2009 · 11 October 2009 ·
I have recently completed the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 11th October in a time of 1 HOUR 45 MINUTES AND 50 SECONDS in support of the Coventry University Special Baby Unit. I have chosen the baby unit because I was treated at the hospital from birth until I was 6 and a half months and the effort and dedication from staff at the time is one of the reason that I am here today and I feel the unit deserves as much support as I can give to repay the support they gave me as a baby.
The money that I raise can be used in several different ways to not only support the babies on the unit but also the parents. This can include;
A new piece of equipment that may be required on a doctor/nurse’s request
Picture, hand and foot print of the baby on their 100th day of life for the parents
Mothers and Fathers day cards
Special small soothers (dummies) for premature babies
Any other gifts for parents or babies that will be treasured for a lifetime
Please donate as little or as a much as you feel as every penny will help to make life better for babies and their families.
Thank you for your support.
