Story
On the 10 June 2014 colleagues from Ipsos MORI’s Field dept. plan to walk approx. 13 miles from our Harrow Office in North London to our Borough Office in South London to unite our offices in the fight against Cancer.
Many of us have family, friends and colleagues who have suffered from cancer to varying degrees, it's difficult to find anyone who has not been touched by this awful disease. This includes Ipsos MORI Field's RC Arlene Jackson who has a 25 year old daughter called Claire. Claire was diagnosed with sarcoma a rare form of cancer, and despite two very drastic surgical interventions, has been told the cancer has returned and has spread to her lungs. Claire is being unbelievably strong and it is humbling to hear how positive she remains in her attitude and behaviour. The cancer is now affecting Claire's balance and it is getting increasingly difficult for Claire to get about unaided, this hasn't affected Claire's sense of humour or sense of fun, outwardly she is like any other 25 year old woman.
As colleagues of Arlene’s and with Claire as our inspiration we’re aiming to raise £5,000 for Cancer Research, more if we can with your help.
