Relay For Life - Pontypool 2024

Fundraising for Cancer Research UK
Last month, Harrison’s much loved nannie June passed away. In his determination to keep making her proud, he’s chosen to dedicate his June to June by completing memory walks around our local village.
Initially we signed him up to the maximum child distance of 30 miles via the race at your pace website, however, he’d also like to try and raise money in the process for Cancer Research Uk via Pontypool’s Relay for Life; an event close to his Aunty Leanne’s heart.
As Harrison’s mum, I’m beyond proud that he wants to do something outside of his normal day to honour his nan and support such a worthwhile charity. .
Whilst Harrison will complete his memory walks totalling 30+ miles by the end of June, he will finish his challenge at Pontypool’s Relay for Life event on Saturday 6th July by joining The Gin Givers team on their laps of Pontypool Park. We’ve tasked him with completing at least 20 laps, which is below his optimistic target of 80, as we know he’ll get distracted by the stalls, food, music and football !
If anybody would like to follow Harrison’s progress, we will post here
Thank you for supporting Harrison and if you are able to make a small donation via his page, he would be extremely grateful xx
