Story
Harrison is 6 years old and started running this month to get his lungs stronger and help with his asthma. His lovely teacher has been supporting and encouraging him and asked if he wanted to set himself a target for the month of February. This got Harrison thinking and although he set himself a huge target at first (a mere 27 miles a week 😂) I was able to get him to agree to a lower yet still a very tough target of 40 miles. Harrison wanted to raise money for charity so I asked him which one and he chose the charity The NHS and in his words “because of the corona virus work they do”. Upon looking I realised there are so many NHS charities to chose from so we chose to support our local hospitals to keep it simple. He has himself had a fair few hospital visits and ambulance rides when his asthma is bad so it seems only right we support our local services.
He has no idea of the value of money he just really wanted to raise some money for charity while doing his runs. I know it’s a really tough financial time for lots of people but if you could spare a few £’s to support him this month I know he’ll be delighted!
Thank you 🙏
Amy (Harrison’s mum)
