Story
On 18th May, over 20 student accommodation investment agents will be cycling 100 kilometres from London to Brighton and over the dreaded Ditchling Beacon (841 ft elevation).
The aim is to raise awareness and funds for Student Minds.
Student Minds is the UK's student mental health charity. Student Minds works with students, service users, professionals and academics to develop new and innovative ways to improve the mental health of students.
They empower students and members of the university community to develop the knowledge, confidence and skills to look after their own mental health, support others and create change, so that all in higher education can thrive. The key to their approach is ensuring that young people have agency, whilst empowering the community around them to have the health literacy and tools to respond. They want to ensure students have access to timely, youth-friendly support and resources. Student Minds is focused on prevention, ensuring that more young people learn how to build their own wellbeing toolkit. They train students and staff in universities across the UK to deliver student-led peer support programmes as well as research-driven campaigns and workshops. By working collaboratively across sectors, they share best practice and ensure that the student voice influences decisions about student mental health.
The team will incorporate members from Jones Lang LaSalle, Savills, Knight Frank, Cushman & Wakefield, Colliers and more. Jointly we are looking to raise over £3,000 and we'd love it if you would consider donating via our Just Giving Page.
If you would like to provide any additional corporate sponsorship which could contribute towards our support crew, fuel and refreshments, please do get in touch as any additional contributions would be very welcome. We can provide additional promotion via press and social media.
