Story
My Dad, Robert Wills, died from brain cancer in July 2019. He was a man of great integrity who was loved and admired by many.
At the intersection of my birthday, my Dad's birthday and the 3 year anniversary of his death, it seems fitting to do something big to honour him and all those who have fought and continue to fight brain cancer.
On Wednesday 27th July, I have decided to take the leap and throw myself out of a plane (my heart is thumping just typing this!) at the North London Skydiving Centre to raise money in his memory for The Tessa Jowell Foundation. They are doing amazing work to ensure every NHS brain cancer patient can access the best treatment and care. Their aim is that anyone with brain cancer can choose to access excellent specialist services delivered through their Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence initiative.
You can find out more about their work here: https://www.tessajowellfoundation.org.uk
On the same day as my skydive, they are also hosting a #TurnUpForTessa event where, for one night only, dozens of cinemas across the country will show a newly edited version of Danny Boyle’s incredible 2012 opening ceremonies, with all funds raised going to the Tessa Jowell Foundation. I've put the poster in the picture gallery if you'd like to have a look and get involved!
It would mean so much to me if you could join me in donating to this wonderful cause - it would be an amazing birthday gift for both my Dad and I.
Watch this space for updates! - Thank you and wish me luck :o

PS: All donations will be going to the Tessa Jowell Foundation, and will not pay for the skydive itself! :)
