I haven’t completed a sporting challenge since my 2013 half marathon. With  the “big 30” looming I wanted to set myself another challenge. I have always stood at the sidelines of Joby's triathlons wondering  “could I do this?” And of course I can! Right!?

This summer a group of friends went to Cyprus for a beautiful wedding where I met Ella. We instantly bonded over our desire to push ourselves in an event, so we decided to undertake a sprint triathlon together. Ella wanting to beat the time of her last triathlon and myself wanting to just get round! Later Annabel was recruited. She is an avid marathon runner and always up for new experiences.

This is going to be hard but I know we can do it.

I now work on a Haematology and Oncology ward, so have first hand seen the excellent work and support Macmillan offer to patients, their families and later on for bereaved families. Every penny for this excellent cause will help complete the Triathlon (I hope!!)
