Haroons Transpennine walk to raise funds for the earthquake victims

Transpennine walk · 17 March 2023
Hello, I'm Haroon Ayub, and I'm embarking on a bit of a mad adventure to raise money for the victims of recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. It's like a family day out, only with blisters and sore feet!
I'll be taking the Trans Pennine route from South Manchester up to Speke near John Lennon Airport and back - a total of approximately 46 miles on foot. It's been a few years since I properly trained for anything like this, so there's a good chance that I'm going to suffer.
But that's exactly why I'm doing this - to push myself physically and mentally, and to raise awareness and funds for those in need. We live in a world where some of us are fortunate enough to enjoy life's pleasures without ever experiencing any real hardship. It's easy to forget about the struggles faced by people in other parts of the world.
So, I'm putting myself through the pain and discomfort to remember those who are less fortunate and in need of our support. Every step I take will be a reminder of the strength and resilience of the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey.
I hope you'll join me in supporting this cause, and who knows, maybe you'll even have a laugh at my expense along the way. So come along and join in the fun, all while helping to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most!"
Keep an eye out for a live tracker that I'll publish closer to the time
