We've been set a task to run an event (with no budget!) for our university course at Uwe. Given the pandemic this year we thought it would be a good idea to hold an online wellbeing event to start 2021 off right and help anyone effected from being isolated for such a long time. We aim to have an hour and a half session to bring people together and help improve their mindset. The event will comprise of three activities; yoga and meditation, crafts and a mindfulness practice & talk, with a raffle at the end where you can win prizes!
A donation of £3 enters you in the raffle.*
All donations will be given to the wonderful Mind charity, who provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.
With your support through this online well-being event, you are helping Mind reach more people with mental health problems than ever, ensuring they will have the support and respect they need and deserve.
A survey by Mind has found that loneliness has been one of the main drivers behind people’s poor mental health during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially students stuck in their halls. Online wellness events play a role in banishing these feelings of isolation.
Come along and feel a sense of community, try some different things and start the year off with a felling of positivity!
