Team: Remembering Jim Hannon
UPDATE
Well, we did it and what a great weekend it was! We had lovely weather on Saturday that burnt us to a crisp followed by some nice mist on Snowden on Sunday to soothe the sunburn. The whole team did really well, especially Ryan and John, the broken arm twins, while Julie and Karen did a fantastic job of keeping us all fed and watered.
We were delighted that Jim’s son Mike joined us on the Snowden climb and that Pauline was there to cheer us over the finishing line.
Collectively we’ve managed to raise in excess of £3,000 and are still going - I’m sure Jim would have been impressed. Thank you all for your encouraging messages, financial contributions and for your touching tributes to Jim; they are all very much appreciated.
If you haven't already donated, it's not too late........

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.
Our initial target was to raise £1,000 to cover the cost of pipettes for one team for a year. Due to the generous response to our cause we are now aiming for the next milestone of £2,500 which will provide one researcher with DNA sequencing kits for 12 months.
We will be attempting the Welsh Three peaks challenge, climbing Mount Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan to raise money for a very worthy cause – the Prostate Cancer Research Centre.
We have chosen to support the Prostate Cancer Research Centre due to Jim Hannon's fight with prostate cancer. Although there is unfortunately no cure, the help the Prostate Cancer Research Centre provides can make a huge difference, not only to someone suffering from Prostate Cancer but to their family.
It’s also a very important cause as a man aged 50 has a 1 in 11 chance of being diagnosed with prostate cancer, making it the most frequently diagnosed cancer for men. Last year over 30,000 men in the UK were told they had it, and over 10,000 died as a direct result of the disease.
Please give generously - Hannon Westwood is covering all our expenses, so all donations will go directly to the centre.
Thanks!
