Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We are walking up the three highest peaks in England (Scarfell Pike), Wales (Snowdonia) and Scotland (Ben Nevis) in 24 hours to raise money for Charlotte Taylor who needs our help.
Charlotte is four years old and has cerebral palsy. Charlotte, and her twin brother Daniel, were born 8 weeks early but Charlotte suffered a bleed to the brain, around birth, that caused damage to both sides of her brain.
Charlotte currently is unable to walk unaided and faces the prospect of life in a wheelchair. We want to do everything we can to help Charlotte get up on her feet and enjoy all the things in life her twin brother can do and we all take for granted.
We are currently fundraising for an operation in the USA called selective dorsal rhizotomy, ongoing therapy and equipment. Charlotte currently doesn't meet the criteria for this operation in the UK, however the aim is for Charlotte to be seen by Dr Parks at St. Louis children's hospital in Missouri who has helped thousands of children like Charlotte achieve their dream of walking by themselves.
The fundraising is through a registered charity called The Tree of Hope, who pay for specialists, equipment, consultants and therapy directly,
Our goal is to raise £80,000 which would cover the cost of the operation, travel to America, and aftercare (which is incredibly important) including physiotherapy, specialist SDR aftercare, and equipment, plus help with ongoing therapy.

I realise we live in a time when there are constant demands for charitable causes but please try and find £5 -10.00 to help Charlotte.
Thanks
Hanna
