Story
I will be trekking 100km to Petra in Jordan to raise money for AMEND !🌵 🏜 🥾
AMEND is a great charity (Association for Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Disorders) as they provide info and support to those affected by rare diseases of the endocrine system and also fund research into these diseases.
I was diagnosed with M.E.N. (Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia - type 2B) at the age of 14. It’s pretty rare as it can cause tumours to grow throughout the endocrine system but early diagnosis is the best treatment.
👉ROLL ON 13 YEARS… I’m now 27 years old and I’m doing pretty well. I had three major surgeries back in 2009 which involved removing my thyroid and about one third of each lung and I managed to avoid chemo and radiation! So aside from the initial shock and having continued annual check ups I’m just as fit and healthy as the rest of you! 💪
I would appreciate any support, even the smallest amount makes a huge difference. If you feel you are able to, please donate to my fundraising page ✨🤍 Thanks Hannah
