Story
Thank you for visiting my page.
In October 2022 my colleagues, friends and family will be participating in a 5K Inflatable Race in order to raise more awareness or Sarcoma UK and help as many people as we can.
I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments.
I am 32 years old. Back in October 2021 I found a lump in my right breast, thinking it was just a cyst I went to get it checked out. I was told throughout the testing that with my age and health it would most likely be nothing. The results didn't agree. I was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma. I had a mastectomy to remove the tumour in February 2022 and was given the good news that the tumour had been successfully removed with healthy margins.
However when it came to my 3 month check up, spots were found on my liver and was told that this would be incurable. I have begun a course of chemotherapy to see if this will be effective in keeping the cancer at bay.
Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult to diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. I have no family history and live a healthy lifestyle so the cause is fairly unknown. It is my goal to create as much awareness as possible to help improve treatments and standards of care.
By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep Sarcoma UK Support Lines open and change peoples lives.
Thank you for your support.
