My reasons behind doing the event 

Like most people, I have had family and friends close to me that have been diagnosed with cancer and I want to do my bit in raising money for vital research. Cancer seems to be everywhere with the likes of David Bowie and Alan Rickman being taken earlier this year. As a scientist I believe that funding should be available for every scientist with a theory around cancer with the chance that it could be a breakthrough. We are always evolving and new therapies and drugs are being discovered, so the research is working and making a difference. 

I shall be taking part in the event as a group with my tesco colleagues so it will be lots of fun on the day.
