Story
Hi! I have been lucky enough to get ballot places for both London and Edinburgh Marathons this year and didn't want to miss the opportunity to try and raise some money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. I lost my aunt and godmother Caroline to MND in June 2015 and the charity is an important one to me and my family.
I ran the my first marathon at London in 2015 for the MND Association; London this year will only be my second marathon and the thought of taking on a third in Edinburgh just 5 weeks later is more than a little daunting, so any donations you can spare, large or small, will be hugely appreciated and will help the MND Association fund their vital MND care, research and campaigning.
Motor neurone disease is a progressive disease which attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. There is no cure for MND and life expectancy for about half those with the condition is just three years from the onset of symptoms.
Thanks for reading and supporting - I'll let you know how I get on!
