Hi all

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you can see, next year I'm running the London marathon on behalf of Little Havens hospice in Southend.

Little Havens provides respite breaks, symptom control and end-of-life care to youngsters not expected to reach adulthood because of a life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

For the year 11/12, it will cost a total of £2.4 million for Little Havens to continue caring for children and most of this is funded through its supporters. 

Having previously been a fundraising ambassador for them, they are a charity close to my heart and really valued in the local community.

Not only are you helping a fantastic cause, running the marathon is a great personal challenge. The longest distance I've ever run is probably cross-country at school... where we always made our best attempt to hide in the bushes. So running 26.2 miles might be slightly challenging...
