Story
Thank you so much for visiting my page. It really means a lot.
In May I am going to be running the Edinburgh Marathon Festival Half Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support. Those who know me well will know that I'm not a runner, so 13 miles is a huge challenge for me, especially with a recent broken leg and dodgy knee considered. Training sure is going to be a big challenge especially out in the cold winter mornings and nights!
I wanted to do this to raise money for Macmillan. Having spent almost 2 years working for this wonderful charity, I have seen first hand the amazing work they do to help people affected by cancer and their carers, friends and families. Macmillan really do so much – from grants to help with costs like travelling to hospital appointments, giving people personal support in the form of a friendly voice on the end of the phone, to funding nurses who do an amazing job of helping people at every step of the way, these people make a huge difference every single day.
The more money we can raise for Macmillan, the more people they can help.
