I, along with my sister Katie have decided to run the Bupa Great North Run (Half marathon) to try and raise as much money as possible for Yorkshire Cancer Research.

This is a charity very close to us, as some of you may be aware, back in 2006 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer. However, fighting back after operations, chemo and radiotherapy she got better.

It didn't stop there however, and bad news came again in 2009..it had come back. This fundraising has recently become increasingly important to me and my family with more bad news only a couple of weeks ago. However, due to charities such as YCR, my mum and many other people are fighting back.

Yorkshire cancer research helps local people beat cancer and also supports world class research, diagnosis and treatment all over the region. I would greatly appreciate any donation you can make to help me reach my target of £300. Every penny helps save lives!
