Story
Hello, thanks for stopping by.
On October 9, I will be pounding the streets of Peterborough in the Great Eastern Run. It's a half marathon, and up until a few weeks ago I could only run for about 10 minutes at a time. It's going to be interesting...
I've chosen to raise money for Médecins Sans Frontières as I believe that in a world where many of us have so much, there shouldn't be people without access to healthcare when they need it. MSF is an international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid in more than 60 countries to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural or man-made disasters or exclusion from healthcare.
In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, battles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centres for malnourished children and offers mental healthcare.
When needed, MSF also constructs wells, dispenses clean drinking water and provides shelter materials, such as blankets and plastic sheeting.
So please dig deep!
