Story
On the 9th October 2022 a group of my close friends and I are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my dad David. As many of you know my dad was diagnosed with MND in the April of 2016 and for the last 6 years battled against this awful diagnosis. His determination and courage to keep going against all odds, and his ability to find the laughter and fun even on his darkest days is something that we will forever admire, and is an inspiration to us all. Sadly on February 3rd he passed away leaving us all truly heartbroken. Life will never be the same without him but how lucky were we to have someone so special that saying goodbye is so hard. We are so grateful for all the love and support we have received over the years, and since his passing. MND is a truly awful disease which kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis. MND can leave people locked in a failing body, unable to move, talk, swallow and eventually breathe. Please please please help us raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association. There is currently no cure for this terminal illness and currently no real effective treatment, please help us change this. We can change this we just need your help to do that. With all of our Love Amelia & family xxx
