Story

The charity's suggested wording: 'Challenge yourself. Take on dementia. Every three minutes someone in the UK is told they have dementia, and there is no cure. We are in a race to defeat dementia, and by taking part in Trek26 HANNAH AND HER WALKING SISTERS will raise vital funds so our researchers can get closer to a cure.

My wording: 'Challenge yourself. Take on this website and try to work out how you can donate without swearing at the screen. When you want to press 'give up and give her cash instead', remember that every three minutes someone in the UK is told they have dementia. There is no cure and this has to be the most terrifying disease a person can get, or to witness in a loved one. You can help in the race to defeat dementia by giving me a fiver and not having to do the 26 miles yourself. Win win!

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
