Story

If ever there was time to give back, it’s now!

  • In 2020, the NSPCC helpline saw a 45% increase in contacts from people worried about children experiencing online sexual abuse
  • At least two children in the average primary school classroom have experienced abuse or neglect. By the time they turn 18, that number rises to at least 4
  • 1 in 5 children in the UK have been exposed to domestic abuse
  • 1 in 3 children sexually abused by an adult didn’t tell anyone at the time

As adults it’s our responsibility to make children feel safe!

So I’m running the marathon to drive awareness and funding, so the NSPCC can keep protecting and supporting children who face trauma, mental health challenges, neglect and unfortunately even worse circumstances.

We’re the only charity fighting to end child abuse in the UK and Channel Islands. That’s why we help children who’ve been abused to rebuild their lives, we protect children at risk, and we find the best ways of preventing child abuse from ever happening.
