Story
We lived in Malawi for many years and saw first-hand the struggles that many girls have to get a secondary education.
The Mamie Martin Fund (MMF) supports girls' secondary education in Northern Malawi. Girls are less likely to go to secondary school than boys and are more likely to drop out before they have completed all four years. The MMF pays school fees and provides for other necessities like soap, notebooks and sanitary pads. The MMF work is managed locally by Mercy Siibande, who lives in Mzuzu. We hope to meet Mercy when she visits the UK in May.
