Story
As many of you know Hannah Willcock & hill walking has never really gone well together.... So when the opportunity arose to take part in the ‘Coins 3 Peaks Challenge’ (www.coinsfoundation.org) with the company I work for, Fairview New Homes, I thought this would be an appropriate way to challenge myself.....
Not being the most natural of walkers and not having much experience with mountain walking, apart from being dragged up numerous mountains by my father when younger, I am now very keen to see whether I can conquer the three peaks in 24 hours and I would really appreciate your support!
On the 12-13 May 2012 I will be one member of the three Fairview New Homes teams who will be taking part in the 10 Anniversary of the COINS 3 Peaks Challenge. The Challenge is an exclusive walking event for the construction and service Industry. In 24 hours (10 hours compulsory driving time) we aim to climb three of the highest mountains in the UK, Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District and Snowdon in Wales.
We will be raising money for the Coins Foundation. 100% of the teams fundraising will go towards the projects they support and most of these projects are linked in some way to our industry (construction) and are about creating long lasting change in a sustainable way. The COINS Foundation works with its project partners and sponsors to create projects that change the root causes of poverty and discrimination, to develop long-term solutions which will help to bring about permanent change. Past projects have included building homes, schools and training centres for both Children and Adults in Haiti, Mozambique and Zambia. Further examples of the projects that the Coins Foundation is involved in can be seen at http://www.coinsfoundation.org/.
I would be extremely grateful if you could sponsor me for this event. Anything raised will go to a fantastic cause and help others who are less fortunate.
