Hannah's 1000KM Static Bike Ride Challenge
Fundraising for Dorothy House
Story
Starting on 16th May 2019, I will be taking part in an epic 1000km ‘static bike ride challenge’ . Myself and my team mates will be taking turns to rack up the kilometres and hit our target, all whilst 12 of our colleagues are riding across the mountains of France completing a massive 302KM from Bergerac to Toulouse. Both our home and away teams will be cycling to raise money in aid of Hospices across the South, as well as other charities local to our area. These charities do amazing work in our communities and rely heavily on donations and fundraising.
My chosen charity for this event is Dorothy House and for my personal fundraising target I am looking to raise at least £100.
I am raising money for Dorothy House who provide compassionate care and support for people with a life-limiting illness. Last year their nurses cared for my Father in Law, David who then sadly lost his battle with cancer. Their services enabled David to choose the type of care he received in the comfort of his own home and the support they offered not only David, but the family was incredible.
Over the past few years the Cellular Solutions Team have raised well over £180,000 – so with your help this event will help take us over the £210,000 mark – with the aim of reaching £250,000 by the year after next from our cycle fundraising.
Cellular Solutions will also match like for like any funds we raise up to £5,000 Our overall total fundraising target for this event is £32,000. Every donation will help towards this figure that will make a significant difference to those less fortunate than ourselves.
Every penny donated goes to charity and not towards the costs of the event thanks to sponsorship of the event by one of our network partners.
