Im climbing Kilimanjaro in June 2023

Mount Kilimanjaro 2023 · 30 May 2022 to 31 July 2023 ·
I have signed up to climb over 19,000ft to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in memory of my dad, my nan and my grandad.
Sadly my grandad passed away from liver cancer in 2004, followed by the love of his life, my nan, in 2017 from ovarian cancer. They were joined too soon by their son, my dad, at the young age of 52 in 2020 from carcinoid cancer.
Since my Nan and Grandad went to the skies, my dad became my only family member, my rock, my support system, my coach, my mentor… my entire world. He had a rare and underfunded type of cancer called Carcinoid cancer (part of the NET tumours group) which he battled for 16 years.
I signed up for this challenge whilst my dad was still with me, he knew about the challenge and I know he will be waiting for me somewhere on that mountain. I will do everything I can to reach the top to see him, my nan & grandad and to work towards curing cancer sooner.
