Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Most of you will know, my Husband, Dave Wall, passed away in February 2016, after a diagnosis on Christmas Eve 2015 of Stage 4 Bowel Cancer which had secondary deposits throughout his body. At the time our Daughter, Imogen Rose, had just celebrated her first birthday and we hadn't even been married a year. When Dave passed and the initial shock faded away, I began to concentrate on getting myself fit for Imogen and with the help of my PT, Mel, I started running. Slowly building up my distance I decided to enter the Manchester 10k in May of this year with a focus to increase my distances to the goal of a marathon.
So, as soon as the London applications opened, I submitted my application to join Team Macmillan in running the 2018 London Marathon. Macmillan helped Dave and I understand our finances whilst he was ill and took the time to make sure we had the necessary help. I knew running for Macmillan would make the experience even more amazing and I could also raise money for them along the way. When I got the call to say Macmillan would love to offer me a place I was over the moon so here I am, with another JustGiving page raising money for another Cancer charity which is very close to my heart.
I can't believe I'll be running 26 miles but with all of your support I know I'll do it. Any donations are welcome and please look out for information regarding any fundraising events.
Lots of love, Han x
