We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, in memory of my mum who sadly lost her battle  with this horrible disease in October 2020. Everyone who knew my mum knew that she did a lot of running and so I thought there was no better way to raise the money than to dust off my running shoes and try and make her proud

It is so difficult to diagnose pancreatic cancer before it has spread to other parts of the body and sadly in most cases become untreatable. Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund are researching ways to make detection, diagnosis and treatment good enough that deaths from this disease are a thing of the past. Pancreatic Cancer currently has a 3% survival rate with no improvement in the rate in 40 years and receives less than 2% of national spend on cancer research, so if you can please spare even the smallest of amounts, it would be so gratefully appreciated, not only by me and my family but by the people that this could help.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
