My cousin Lara has always been a big influence in my life.  Growing up she was my friend, role model and the cool older girl whom I aspired to be.  As an adult she followed her principles, embraced life and inspired family and friends to do the same.  Sadly, Lara was diagnosed with Motor Neuron Disease in October 2011 and died less than a year later.  She left behind her 2 young daughters and a huge hole in our family.  We all miss her dearly. 

The Motor Neuron Disease Association has a vision of 'A world free from MND' and I am asking friends and family to donate to help achieve this aim.  I ran a half marathon more than 10 years ago and found it extremely hard - I hurt from my neck to my toes the following day!  Hopefully this one will be a little less painful!
