Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On January 15 2015 my once in a lifetime adventure will begin, I will be dropped off at an unknown location somewhere in Scotland with one goal - to get to Madrid as quickly as possible! The catch ...don't spend a penny. We will be relying totally on the kindness of strangers and the determination to do our causes proud. 

Despite the excitement of the race the main focus of this whole event is fundraising. RACE2 is an event organised by the University of St Andrews Charities Campaign in support of the three charities voted for by the student body. This year I am incredibly proud to be raising money for Medecins Sans Frontieres, Macmillan Cancer Support and Families First. 

The race will be taking place between 15-20 January in the Christmas break and some of the eagle eyed among you might notice that this includes my birthday (the big 2-0!). If anyone is kind enough to be considering getting me something for my birthday, I ask that maybe you would instead consider putting that money towards my fundraising total - it would be a gift that really makes me happy! 

I know that there are constant appeals to donate to charity and this can be overwhelming but I truly believe in the outstanding causes supported by RACE2 and the Charities Campaign and all I can say is that anything you can give no matter how small would be massively appreciated, all donations will be split equally between the three charities.
