As many of you now know Tony Marsh lost his battle against cancer at the beginning of June and having to watch his family deal with the loss of such an inspiring man has deeply saddened both myself and the rest of my family. My boyfriend, Ryan Marsh, has been so strong throughout the past 3 years and I have watched him be a rock for not only his dad but both his mum and sister too. I have been by Ryan's side even before Tony was diagnosed and want to keep this going by running alongside him for the York 10k. Even though the training will be tough it will be nowhere near as tough as what Tony had to go through over the past three years and he deserves to be remembered in a way which befits his sporting achievements throughout life. I know he will be missed very much as he touched so many people throughout his life.
