Story
Hi, my name is Jacob. I’m going to be geeking out for GOSH and taking on a gaming tournament challenge with some of my friends in half term. This is to raise money for the seriously ill children, their families and the NHS staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Our friend Sam has to spend time at GOSH. Sam is a very special little boy who has Achondroplasia. His condition means he has a narrow foramen magnum (the opening at the base of the skull where the spinal cord meets the brain stem) this is pinching causing bruising and pressure. He is shortly going to undergo surgery called foramen magnum decompression, to make room around his spinal cord and hopefully improve his headaches.
The hospital needs the support of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSH Charity) now more than ever, so it can continue to deliver the best, life-saving care for seriously ill children. Your support will help keep me going and give me the power-up I need to complete this gamer challenge. Its quick, easy and secure to donate, just press the give now button on the right.
