Story
Back in August 2016 my grandad also known as PJ was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer. A huge shock for our family as someone so close to us had to suffer this awful disease. He went through chemo but unfortunately he passed away on the 13th January 2017.
Where could I begin? PJ was a fantastic man, a kind-hearted individual that many people knew. He was always the love and soul of the party and was always there for me no matter what. Those of you who know me, will know how close I was to my grandad.
The unforgettable memories I have with Grandad, i will never forget. He was an truly inspiration person and I am still heartbroken he is no longer with us..... But it has now got me determined to make the most out of my life and follow his footsteps.
To help raise money for this awful disease "Cancer" I am taking up some challenges this year in memory of "PJ"
The Marsden March on the 19th March which is a 14 mile walk from Chelsea to Sutton. ( with my team players- Elliott Poulain- PJs grandson/cousin Eva Kaczykowski, Sam Rowan and Charlie Williamson)
On the 8th October I am also doing the Royal Parks Half Marathon with my brother TJ Ostley.
My team name is called 3.3.33 there is a reason behind this name as PJ was born on the 3rd of March 1933 at three minutes past 3. 3 is a very lucky number in our family!
It would be greatly appreciated if any of you could help support my challenges this year in memory of PJ.
You were my rock grandad and you will always will be!
Hannah Ostley
