In September I will volunteer for 10 weeks on a development programme in Zimbabwe as part of the International Citizen Service (ICS) with Restless Development, which brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most. 

I'm really excited to be working with this programme because ICS only works with communities that have specifically asked for its help. I’ll also be working alongside volunteers from Zimbabwe so the projects are sustainable, but I won't know exactly what type of project I'll be on until I get there. Either way it will aim to further rural livelihoods, general health or sexual and reproductive health. All incredibly important! 

I want to make clear that none of the money I raise will be spent on flights/vaccinations etc. Everything I raise is for Restless Development as a charity and will go to all the projects they run all over the world. 

I need to raise £800 and I must say this seems a really daunting task, especially to complete by September! All of you know how close this is to my heart so anything you can donate would be really appreciated. Keep track of this page to see what sorts of things I get up to :)
